Wetsuits are Worth it– Keeps the kids warm so they stay in the pool longer. Pro Tip: buy a size up with zipper in the front & shorts for easy on/off.

Tips & Tricks for Children with ASD or New Swimmers
- Watch videos of swimming lessons before the first lesson!
- Read books about swimming and/or lessons (my favorite is Froggy Learns to Swim)!
- Practice blowing bubbles using bubbles or in the bathtub!
- Practice getting face wet in the bathtub!
- Children with ASD may benefit from wearing a wet suit, vest or tight rashguard shirt during lessons (provides deep pressure).
